Amarok crashes with SIGSEV 11

Wed Feb 04, 2009 6:45 pm
Hi amarok team, here comes an upstream request for a found bug in Fedora 10. Please let me know if i can provide more information for debugging. Fedora bug report here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=481129

Description of problem:
Amarok crashes with SIGSEV 11 when clicking on Internet-Shoutcast
Directory->Right click on a stream -> Copy to Location -> Local collection,
just press ok on the dialog coming up.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 10, KDE 4.1.3

rpm -qa | grep amarok
amarok-2.0.1.1-1.fc10.i386

How reproducible:
On every try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on Internet
2. Click on Shoutcast directory
3. Expand a category
4. Right click on a stream
5, Choose Copy to Location
6. Choose Local collection
7. Press Ok in the dialog appearing.

Actual results:
SIGSEV 11 (Amarok crash)

Expected results:
?

Additional info:

Code: Select all
I can still reproduce it with the steps above, running amarok as a normal user
in a terminal with amarok -d produces following debug info:

Hi,

the forum is not really the right place for filing bugs. You should report it in bugs.kde.org. Don't forget to check the database for known bugs though.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
