NFS & MySQL - Amarok not remembering collection path

I have my music on my server computer, which my desktop accesses via an NFS mount (in fstab, so it mounts automatically at boot).  I've set up the Amarok MySQL database on the server and have gotten my desktop to use it.  All of that required several how-tos and much troubleshooting, but I've got that much working!

What doesn't work is that Amarok "forgets" the path to my collection every time it exits.  I have my music mounted at /mnt/music, so I go into the Configure Amarok dialog, navagate to /mnt/music, mark the checkbox, and click OK.  Then I do Tools/Rescan Collection and it spends a few minutes rebuilding the database, at which point all of my music is recognized.  But when I exit and restart the program, my collection is empty and the Configure Amarok dialog has /mnt/music unchecked again!  This happens whether I have the MySQL database on localhost or on my server, and the MySQL database has always worked when I had my collection stored locally, so I'm thinking it has something to do with the NFS mount.  But I've followed all the how-tos that I could find and can't seem to locate anyone else having this problem...

Running Ubuntu Intrepid 64-bit.
