utf8 path name bug

Mon Mar 02, 2009 6:49 pm
Hi,

it seems that amarok 2.0.1 have problems with UTF-8 Path names. I can play files from paths with special characters in it but amarok isn't able to get the file informations from there resulting in no availability of id3 tags and no further file informations (please see screenshots in attachment)

Known problem?

Thanks,
Martin

There was a bug in Phonon with it refusing to play tracks with certain characters in the path.

Has been fixed recently, so stay tuned for Phonon/KDE updates :)

Sorry for the delay with this response - it seems that the "Notify me of replies"-Option of this forum isn't working. I didn't get any mail...

however..
I don't know if this is related to phonon because I was able to play this file. Amarok just won't display any file informations. Maybe this related to phonon anyway - then ignore this post :)

oh, just realized that this problem goes away if the file is in my collection db. hmm...
