I noticed that amarok got probles with music in folders named using several symbols, for example, music in folder with " ' " or " & " in name wont be served properly by amarok.
My question is, what symbols are allowed, and which are not? is " - " okay? or " : " ? |

This was partly a bug in Phonon (or rather: in some of its backends) and has been fixed lately. You might want to watch out for KDE updates.

@bump
how to fix bad-folder-name issue? how to update phonon? "Please try switching from the GStreamer Phonon backend to the xine Phonon backend." this seems to be solution for my problem. But how to change from GStreamer Phonon backend to xine Phonon backend?

In Amarok 2.1 the Phonon configuration dialog will be integrated, but in 2.0.x you still have to configure it via the KDE "systemsettings". Do it like this: 1) First install the Phonon-xine backend, and libxine1-ffmpeg (for MP3). Note: this is for Kubuntu, the names might be different on other distros. On my distro, the backend package is called "phonon-backend-xine" 2) Open "systemsettings", then go to Sound (or Multimedia in KDE 4.2), then go to the Backend tab. 3) Move xine to the top, click Apply. That's all
