I have managed to get the latest version of projectM checked out from their SVN, compiled and installed on my SuSE 11.1 media center. Now Amarok does recognize that projectM is a visualization option but when I try to start it, it fails. The window for the visualization graphics will open momentarily and then immediately close. Can some kind guru tell me how to go about figuring out why projectM is failing to start? and/or is there something else I need to do to integrate it with Amarok?
(The instructions for installing projectM on a SuSE platform are outdated and apparently wstephenson is no longer supplying an RPM file to make the installation of projectM easy. For that reason I am trying to do this by downloading, compiling, and installing projectM the hard way...) Thanks in advance for any help offered.. Marc... |
