Hi,
I've installed Amarok 2 with Kubuntu (kde4.2). Everything was ok, it searched my music library, no problem, but the main windows is empty. I used Amarok before and I don't understand what happens. Anybody has any idea ? Thank you and have a nice day.

First make a backup of the following files, and then delete them:
$HOME/.kde/share/apps/amarok/* $HOME/.kde/share/config/amarok*

Hi Mark,
Thank you for your answer. So I found $HOME/.kde/share/apps/amarok/* (this is a folder) and renamed it in amarok.old but I haven't found $HOME/.kde/share/config/amarok* (folder or files). There is amarok-appletsrc, amarok-homerc, amarokrc (which are files). When I restart Amarok, it scans my music folder but the window still empty... What you think about this ? |

Just do this: rm -rf $HOME/.kde/share/config/amarok* It's going to delete all those files that you mentioned above.

Hi Mark,
Thank you very much, it's working now. I was desperate, thinking I'll never use Amarok anymore... Songbird is very interesting too but I'm very glad to have Amarok back ! Have a very good week-end. |
