Incomplete Jamendo Database?

Fri Mar 13, 2009 6:00 pm
First of all: Thank you guys for great Amarok2! :) I love it right away - even it has some bugs (crashes while clicking "Stop Playing"). But those bugs will be fixed in future releases - I'm convinced.

I'm really excited about the Jamendo-Plugin and use it as much I can. Great stuff! But I cannot find various artists inside Amarok I can find on Jamendo's website. When I click "Update/Download Jamendo-Database" it prints out about 8,000 albums. Compared with Jamendo's website which says that there are about 17,000 albums.

Is there a way to fix it by myself or is it a (minor) bug in the recent stable version? I didn't check the current unstable version of 2.1.x.

Hi :)

thanks for your nice words. Nice to hear you like Amarok 2. Stay tuned for Amarok 2.1. It will rock even more ;-)

About your problem: I remember a bugreport about this in our bugtracker at bugs.kde.org. Maybe search for  it and see if there is anything that can be done.

Cheers

You are right. The bug is nothing new. ;)

Of cause I stay tuned for Amarok 2.1. Just saw some new features on CeBIT: Editing the layout of the Playlist *jeah*! Hopefully it will also be possible to search the collection by mp3tag 'comment'.
