hi all
using amarok 1.4.10 on BLAG 90001 [based on fedora core 9]. have been a happy user of amarok for a long while, but have a start up problem at the moment. on startup, it does the usual 'update collection' routine, sticks at 0% and trashes my hard disk until i force quit. i think this is because i was using an external hard disk to play some tunes and the fuse blew on it during playback, which froze amarok. it seems now that amarok is trying to find the tunes on the external hard disk and can't. is there command line option for starting amarok without doing a collection update? that way i can then reset where amarok is looking for tunes. or some other solution i haven't thought of? many thanks r7 |

You can try starting Amarok with "amarok --wizard" to reset the config (or just delete ~/.kde/share/config/amarokrc).
If this doesn't work, you might need to trash your collection database as a last resort, by deleting ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/collection.db
