my ASSUS linux 9.0 notebook came with the amarok music manager installed, which i presume to be the earlier version ... clicking on content is supposed to bring up wiki content but all i get are a list of available languages (?) where is the artist/song information that i'm supposed to get as explained in the instructions?

I guess you are using amarok 1.4.x
This feature is currently broken, because of a change on wikipedia's side. I also heard, It won't be fixed in 1.4, but will be in amarok 2. I couldn't find it there yet, but I guess it is on the way.

You will need to upgrade your version of Amarok to get the fix for the wikipedia bug, which was introduced when wiki changed their layout. Most distros should have a patched version of 1.4.10 which includes the fix. Check with yours.

Is anyone using Debian Lenny with a patched 1.4.10? I am running Amarok 1.4.10 on KDE 3.5.10 on Debian Lenny (all updates applied). Whenever I click on the "Artist" tab, I get nothing (presumably the bug is still there).
