my ASSUS linux 9.0 notebook came with the amarok music manager installed, which i presume to be the earlier version ... clicking on content is supposed to bring up wiki content but all i get are a list of available languages (?) where is the artist/song information that i'm supposed to get as explained in the instructions?

I guess you are using amarok 1.4.x
This feature is currently broken, because of a change on wikipedia's side. I also heard, It won't be fixed in 1.4, but will be in amarok 2. I couldn't find it there yet, but I guess it is on the way. |

You will need to upgrade your version of Amarok to get the fix for the wikipedia bug, which was introduced when wiki changed their layout. Most distros should have a patched version of 1.4.10 which includes the fix. Check with yours.

Is anyone using Debian Lenny with a patched 1.4.10? I am running Amarok 1.4.10 on KDE 3.5.10 on Debian Lenny (all updates applied). Whenever I click on the "Artist" tab, I get nothing (presumably the bug is still there). |
