I'm currently in the process of switch my desktop machine from KDE3 to KDE4, including the switch to Amarok 2. The question is how can I migrate the statistics, most importantly the star ratings, from my Amarok 1.4 to the new one?? I'd _really_ hate to have to rate all my songs again! I couldn't find any info on that. Simply letting letting Amarok 2 run on the old config and apps directory doesn't help. I read about a migration script, but can't find it anywhere.
The new system is running Kubuntu Jaunty with Amarok 2.0.2. |

I tell you, what I did:
1. Let amarok 2 scan the collection without importing anything. Just select the folder(s) to scan. 2. Once you've got a collection, go to Settings->Collection and import from your 1.4 collection.db. So only your statistics are updated. Greetings m0nk

Oh, damn! Missed the obvious ...
Hmm... seems a bit broken, though It doesn't seem to import the star ratings, it imports only a third of my songs, I have a lot of double entries now, on second try it didn't even import playcounts. But thanks anyway! |

Same problem here. Ratings and scores are not imported.
EDIT: I've been able to import the ratings following the instructions Dieter Schroeder gave. Thanks!
