There might be something bout this on other threads, but time is an issue here sorry.

Downloaded amarok beta for OSX last night and I'm stumped to know why it crahes on startup. Does the beta version support leopard? If so my only ideas are that it has a software confliction with my existing music platform aids..ah I mean itunes.. or that there might be further plugs required for it to work.. thoughts?

Crashes or freezes with the splash screen showing?

If it's a freeze, search for 'amarokrc' (should be in Users//Library/Preferences/KDE/share/config) and edit the file thus:

Show Splashscreen=false

This will let you dismiss any dialogues that are stuck behind the splash. It's a known problem for the moment.

Also try searching for and killing any rogue collectionscanner processes.
