I hope that I'm not posting this plea for help in the wrong area.
I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex). I have Version 2.0-SVN-Neon installed and everything is working as fine as can be expected. I received a notice in my update manager that a nightly build was ready to be installed. Attempting to install the newest build though results in my receiving the following error. E: /var/cache/apt/archives/amarok-nightly-kdesupport_20090407+svn950472-0neon1_i386.deb: trying to overwrite `/opt/amarok-nightly/share/icons/oxygen/256x256/status/user-trash-full.png', which is also in package amarok-nightly-kdebase I'm not quite sure what to do at this point. If someone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. |

There seems to be a problem with the current build. You have two solutions: either be patient and hope it's getting fixed soon or else check with the Neon people on their mailing list:
http://groups.google.com/group/amarok-neon?hl=en
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction.
I think I'll take both options. I'll check with the mailing list AND I'll be patient. |

In general with such issues (they will reappear from time to time):
"sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite" is your friend.
