I use Amarok 1.4.10 on Kubuntu Intrepid.  Everything was OK with synching with my ipod until today.  I deleted a few albums off my ipod using Amarok, and all my album art is mixed up on the ipod itself.  I've tried everything to try to correct this, but to no avail.

I am using an 80GB classic (6 generation) and everything has been OK until now.  The only other significant thing I ought to mention is that I have recently re-installed my Kubuntu installation, going from Hardy to Intrepid.

For example, a mozart album shows a Simply Red's Greatest hits ( I have that album too), and the same cover art can appear several times together over several albums on the ipod.  Everything is working OK in Amarok though.

I'm just baffled!  Any suggestions?

Is there nobody out there who can answer this question?  Would a migration to the latest version of Amarok help at all?  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

I had the exact same problem, however I moved to Amarok 2 and album art doesn't work for the ipod until 2.1.  Still trying to figure out if it works yet.

Oddly enough, I downloaded a Simply Red album off emusic LOL, much to my partner's disdain.

I'm now on Amarok 2.x, so I'll hope this'll work.

This is really disappointing.  Nobody seems to be able to answer the question.  I believe that if media device support it to be a part of any media player, then album art is absolutely essential. Amarok 1.4 did the job, until I deleted an album off the ipod, and then things started to go wrong.  I find it amazing that nobody knows (least of all the developers) how to deal with a 6th Generation Ipod!  Using this device with its massive storage capacity without visual clues can make it really hard to find stuff.

I've stopped using Amarok now and am using an alternative method to sync my ipod which is a shame, because all it takes is getting the priorities right.
