alrighty here is the list of things I have done.
First: I followed the directions laid out in this link. How to install Amarok 2 on Ubuntu 8.10 Of course I was missing a key so I had to follow somethings found on this link. How to install missing Keys. That went with no problems. So now I finally go to Synaptic Package Manager not only do I search but I also find "amarok-kde4" How ever now I am getting this error when I try to mark it for download amarok-kde4: Depends: kdebase-runtime but it is not going to be installed Depends: kdelibs5 but it is not going to be installed So I got the great idea to try installing kdebase-runtime ( NO idea what it is) after doing a search I find it and mark for installation. however I get this error kdebase-runtime: Depends: kdelibs5 but it is not going to be installed Depends: libstreamanalyzer0 but it is not going to be installed Depends: libstreams0 but it is not going to be installed Depends: kdebase-runtime-bin-kde4 but it is not going to be installed Starting to feel as though Amarok 2 is not supposed to run on my 8.10 Maybe I need more depositories? and keys? I don't know If anybody has any ideas I would like to know them Thanks for any help Sabar |

this official guide from Kubuntu.org is known to work.
http://www.kubuntu.org/news/amarok-2.0.1.1 Dont mind it saying 2.0.1.1, it should get you the latest released version ( 2.0.2 ) - Nikolaj |
