Hi,
as I wrote in the subject: amarok2 compiled from SVN (959419) does not send data to last.fm. The last.fm service under "Configure->Internet Services" is configured correctly - "Test Login" shows success and "Submit Tracks" is ticked.

When I start amarok from console I can see something like this:

ERROR in lastfm!  4
WARNING: GOT NULL NODE IN COPY CONSTRUCTOR!
WARNING: GOT NULL NODE IN COPY CONSTRUCTOR!
Caught an exception - perhaps the web service didn't reply? "Unexpected empty text node: "

I have no idea if it is related but there's last.fm and ERROR mentioned :-)

could anybody confirm that?

Cheers

waldek

Do you have any special characters in your username or password? We have a bug report about that:

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=179198

PS: For me scrobbling works fine with the latest SVN Amarok.

hi,
thanks for the reply. No, I do not have any special characters neither in the username nor in the password but it works fine with today's 959971, so the problem is gone.

thanks

waldek

PS: thanks for adding Various Artists, it was stopping me from migrating from 1.4
