Hello,
i can't play mp3s in directory with this name: "Mötley Crüe - Red, White & Crüe". Renaming directory to "Motley Crue - Red, White & Crue" solve this trouble. Character "ö" is problem. Tracks loaded in playlist correctly, but when I try to play tracks under this directory, amarok shows message about problems. Version : amarok2-svn-960586 Locales : LANG=en_US.ISO-8859-1 LC_CTYPE=cs_CZ.ISO-8859-2 LC_NUMERIC="en_US.ISO-8859-1" LC_TIME=cs_CZ.ISO-8859-2 LC_COLLATE=C LC_MONETARY="en_US.ISO-8859-1" LC_MESSAGES="en_US.ISO-8859-1" LC_PAPER="en_US.ISO-8859-1" LC_NAME="en_US.ISO-8859-1" LC_ADDRESS="en_US.ISO-8859-1" LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.ISO-8859-1" LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.ISO-8859-1" LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.ISO-8859-1" LC_ALL= |

Same here, if the folder or the file im trying to play contains some swedish characters I can't play it. for example ö and ä. Tried both in amarok 2.0.2 and 2.1beta1, using ubuntu9.04+kde.
Should this be considered as the same bug? Here they cant get it into the collection, but I can, and it looks ok with tags and all, but just wont play. If I rename the file to o or a, it plays perfect. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=189527 |

No, we ignore all our users... Joke appart: this is a known bug and we are working on it. Patience, young padawan!
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
