Hello,
I'm using Amarok 2.1 beta 1 (2.0.90) on Ubuntu Linux (installed it from the experimental-reps). It works fine, except there are two tracks listed in the collection with no file existing. One is a normal .mp3 that has probably been deleted, but even after multiple re-scans, the collection entry still stays there. I can't play the file (obviously), I can't edit the Tags and "Delete File" doesn't do anything. The other entry points to "/", which is really weird, since it's not a media-file at all (not even a file). I could edit the Tags if I wanted to, they're not disabled. I didn't try to delete the "file" yet since I'm not sure what will happen (even though / is owned by root, it could still affect my home-directory). Now I wonder how I can remove those collection-entries or find out why they won't disappear, and in the case of "/", why it got added. |

Update: The entry pointing at the non-existant file eventually disappeared after a couple more scans, but the root-folder-entry is still there.

Make sure to have a /Music in your /home, then rescan your collection. This is a known bug in 2.1 beta 1, but already fixed in SVN.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I did have a /Music in my home-directory. I'm now using the current project-neon build, so this issue is gone.
