I've been using amarok for more than 1 year, and always found it an excellent piece of software, to be honest, the best off its kind, including linux and windows softwares.

As I listen music in different locations (work, home, school) in three different computers I thought about some web/PHP software that could do something similar to what Oblivion did, manage my collection, which would be stored in a remote server.

Amarok 2 came and I saw it was supporting Ampache, which is a software that does exactly what I want and more. But to my disappointment Amarok and Ampache were suffering from compatibility problems (hash functions and other things) that only came to an end with Amarok 2.1 beta.

Now here come my questions:

-I download Amarok 2.1 beta from the PPA and hitting Help->About Amarok I get "Version 2.0.90" . What does it suppose to mean?

-The pause button actually makes the current music playing from the start.

-Amarok 2.0.2 played my local music (from my hard drive) without any problems. In this beta (2.0.90) version it doesn't play any. If I append certain albums to the playlist, I get an pop-up message saying "Too many erros encountered in playlist. Playback stopped". Some other play normally (they are all mp3 files). Including Ampache files.
