Deleted all covers

Wed May 06, 2009 7:01 am
Hi there,

I was just so naiv to press the button "rescan collection", now all my covers are gone and nothing is shown under cover-administration... is this fixable? A large proportion of my music is classical, where Amarok normally never hits the right cover by itself...

Amarok 2 seems still very buggy to me...

Hi,

sorry... Kubuntu 9.04, Amarok 2.0.2.

Strangely, though, I restarted Amarok, rescanned again and most covers were back... but Amarok began substituting many...

Don't know how your collection is organized, so I tell you mine.
f.e. /media/Mucke/a/ABC/Lexicon Of Love/ contains exactly one image (name doesn't matter) which is used as cover image by amarok. If you have more than one image, amarok picks one randomly. Embedded covers in tags aren't supported yet. On compilations A2 doesn't show covers at all ('til now), even if organized in the same way.
Posting an example or a screenshot would be nice.

Btw. While watching these forums, I determined that a lot of problems are caused by the combination of Ubuntu 9.04 and Amarok 2.0.2. Perhaps you can upgrade to Amarok 2.1-beta1 (2.0.90).

Greetings
