Using Last.fm to suggest new playlist entries

In Amarok 1.4, I used its integration with Last.fm to suggest similar songs from my collection.  I'd "prime" it by creating a playlist with a few songs I was in the mood to hear, then let Amarok add others of the same style.  I can't really stream audio at work, and I have a collection of about 500 ripped albums, so I'd rather listen to locally-stored music than any of the Last.fm neighbor or friend streams.

Does Amarok 2 support a similar feature?  I've heard mention of a "similar artist" feature, but even that isn't really a substitute for the old "similar song" feature; if I'm in the mood for Green Day's "Basket Case", then "We Are The Waiting" probably isn't what I want to hear next.

Put another way: Amarok 1.4 used Last.fm to implement a feature like Apple's Genius playlist (or whatever they're calling it).  Is there an Amarok 2 equivalent?

Bump bump! I've overcome most of my A2 issues, but am really missing my list of suggested tracks. When will this be implemented? I would get the script that supposedly does this, but I'm getting multiple script errors on login every day. I'm hoping Kubuntu catches up to the Amarok stable releases soon.

Given Last.fm's apparent willingness to give out listening data, could I update my original request to use something like Libre.fm instead?

It's already implemented in a local repository, see here:

(So it will probably reach you in Amarok 2.2)

Yay! I've been using Music Explorer script -- not quite the same, I know, but at least it's something. But I'd love to get rid of that or use it in tandem with the good ole last.fm recommendations.

Thanks, devels! You truly ROCK.
