2.1 Beta Installation - Ubuntu

Thu May 14, 2009 10:19 am
Hi all

I am new to linux and have gone for Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04

I can't seem to see how I could install the latest beta of Amarok that is advertised on the main page.  I have tried the 2.02 and it has some features missing that 2.1 seems to have.

Is there a guide anywhere?  I can only find Kubuntu information, which seems to mention KDE...I am using GNOME

Many thanks

The instructions are pretty much the same. Just use synaptic (or whatever package manager you're using) instead of adept/kpackagekit and follow http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Download:Kubuntu

nope, that won't work... it only installs 2.0.90, and the Homepage advertises 2.1

AFAIK 2.0.90 is Amarok 2.1 beta
