I normally try and install everything from RPM via yum but I'm excited to check out the shiny new amarok 2.1 so I'm doing things the manual way.
I downloaded Amarok 2.1 beta 2. I'm following the compiling instructions http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Compiling cmake .. -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=`kde4-config --prefix` and am getting the error ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- The following REQUIRED packages could NOT be located on your system. -- Please install them before continuing this software installation. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- + mysqld: Embedded MySQL However I have embededed mysql installed. [root@localhost ~]# rpm -qa |grep mysql |grep emb mysql-embedded-devel-5.1.34-1.fc10.remi.i386 mysql-embedded-5.1.34-1.fc10.remi.i386 Am I missing something simple? Is it a version issue? -Jon |

I compiled with version 5.0.77 and works fine with Fedora 10.
