Hi!
I'm a long time Amarok user, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. ;) For a while now, i've been running Kde4 on the OpenSuse's KDE4 weekly trunk snapshots (http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... E_Desktop/), part of which is Amarok 2. Every once in a while the following happens: after the package upgrade, when i run Amarok, the local collection just says counting, and no songs are displayed. Usually after another week goes by, and I do another upgrade it will start working automagically. And another week later, the problem reoccurs. This vicious cycle occurred 3 times already, and currently my Amarok's local collection only displays "counting". I tried deleting the ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok folder and rescanning the collection, but it never helps. The mysqle directory is created, but it's empty. The version of Amarok i'm currently running is: 2.0.96-11.3 (this is the package version) or Version 2.1-SVN Using KDE 4.2.87 (KDE 4.2.87 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090519)) "release 3" (copy pasted from the about box). Is there any further info I need to provide? Thanks for your help, you're doing a great job. Cheers! Primoz Verdnik. |

Hi,
I run into the same problem and have posted a bug report on it.https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=193481 Real pity as I really like the new look and as a player / organizer of my collection of music it is second to none. Hope this one gets fixed soon. Cheers, F. |
