Amarok 2.0

Hello Everybody,

I am currently using Ubuntu 8.04 and i am trying to install Amarok 2.0. I am not having any luck.

Please Help!!

This will only work if you use KDE4 libraries and Qt4, and I'm not sure the version shipped with Kubuntu 8.04 (4.0 as a developper snapshot) is ready for every day use. Also, there are packages available for Kubuntu 8.10 aka Intrepid Ibex so you might consider an upgrade of your version.
Of course Ubuntu 8.04 (with Gnome) is a LTS version, so this would need some thought... but the KDE version is not, as KDE 3.5.x support in Kubuntu 8.04 will end in October 2009 anyway. Up to you to choose now :)


Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
