Click on a track in collection and try to edit the track details brings up a box with just a cancel button in the corner.
Put track in the playlist and then try to edit and everythings works as expected. V. 2.1 Build 11/06/09

Same for me, version 2.1 from Ubuntu repos.
It works if you add the track to the playlist and select it from there. It also worked in 2.0.2
