Amarok 2.1.1 Problems (not sure...)

Thu Jul 02, 2009 3:05 pm
Suse 11.1x64/KDE 4.2.2/Amarok 2.1.1/Xine

Have recently updated to Amarok 2.1.1. There still seems to be very little to configure in Amarok..? I have seen people talking about themes, but can't see any mention of that in my install... The centre panel is a lovely green pattern, and mentions "Add Applet" down the bottom, click that and get a red cross in the middle, and green arrow down the bottom. Click the green arrow and it generally crashes. Apparently no backtrace is created. No mention of applets etc in the menus.
Have tried looking through the forums and documentation, but have found nothing very helpful.
Suggestions? (Nicely..)
Thanks, John.

Remove .kde4/share/apps/amarok/mysqle and do a fresh rescan. There were heavy changes in database layout.
What configuration options do you mean?
And theming is done by using global KDE4 themes atm.

Ok, things are looking a little better!
Looks like one of the issues I was having was the version of KDE (4.2.2), so have upgraded that, and now things are working a tad better. Will play for a while and see how it goes.
Thanks, John.
