Hi,
I have a question and I'm just wondering if I am doing something wrong or if this is a bug.

First of all, part of my home directory looks kind of like this:
/home/username/Music
/home/username/Music/Files
/home/username/Music/temp

I have a Music directory where I keep all kinds of music related things like tabs, snippets of mp3s, etc. In that directory I have a Files directory. I keep the files I want to have in my media player (Amarok) in there.

But when I first start Amaraok 2/2.1/2.1.1 it automatically starts scanning my home directory and adding all files in my Music directory to my Amarok collection (Btw., is there a way to turn off this automatic scanning? It is really annoying if it starts scanning the wrong directories. Canceling it did not work for me.).

So I have files in my Amarok collection that I don't want to have in there so I go to preferences and change the path to my collection and hit "Rescan collection". It scans the collection but the files I don't want in there don't go away. I hope my description is understandable.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

This is an annoying bug-feature, which really should be removed. My folder is called MyMusic and it's used to prepare my ttracks before adding them to the collection.
Amarok adds the folder containing "Music" to its collection even if it's not selected.
Solution:
Look for the entries in $HOME/.kde(4)/config/amarokrc and remove them.

Oh, ok, that explains the behavior. Thanks, I will test that!
