I installed amarok2.1.1 using synaptic manager in ubuntu 9 but while downloading the connection broke and I clicked 'yes' on the warning "Do you want to continue installing in any way?"
Now amarok makes a playlist, but when I click on play all songs are played in sequence without any sound in less than 5 seconds. I did download amarok tarball and tried to install but cmake .. -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=`kde4-config --prefix` make sudo "make install" gives me error even after installing 'cmake'. Synaptic manager is not 'completely removing' the downloaded files. It is installing the same files. PLEASE!!!!!! suggest me something I want amarok on my machine!!!!!!!! Thank you. |

Did you install the codecs for mp3? From your description this is the problem, not Amarok.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I know that amarok is not the problem, i am sorry if my question expresses any such thing. Problem is I missed some files while downloading and installed the packages using synaptic manager. Now it is not removing the files completely and uses the same corrupt files. So do u have any solution?
