Help!! iḿ haven used Linux very long, so pleas help me (using Ubuntu 9.04)

When i start amarok it just shutting down directly after the program is shown. It started when i installed a script and restart the program. I have uninstalled the program totaly using synaptic. but when i re-installed the program, itś the same. i have try to find all file with the name Amarok, and delete and re-install. But the program have the same problem. Then i installed Amarok nightly, and it start normaly, but when i installed a script and restarted the program get the same problem. this time it was another script called "Ultimate lyric 1.1"...  i don think it a big deal that some script causes error, but there must be a simpel way to start the program with default settings. then  with default setting for script. something like holding down a key och the keyboard when it starts-up, and then it should start with default settings, such a feature would be nice... but weŕe not there yet, so how do i make it work?

Have you used Amarok 1.4 until now? If yes, see 2.
Are you using the Amarok (2.0.2) shipped with Ubuntu 9.0.4? If yes: Update to version 2.1
2. Generally removing .kde/share/config/amarok* will reset Amarok. No need to (un)install Amarok.
Moving .kde/share/apps/amarok to .kde/share/apps/amarok.old could help, too. You need it for importing your
statistics, so keep it for now.
3. Start Amarok as amarok -d in a console to see the output.
4. Please write your Amarok version into the Subject.
5. Try considering using a real distribution (just a joke)

I like to try new software ond operating system, so maybe i try some else dist in the future. Maybe you can suggest a dist for me. it need following functions: dual boot with win xp, thats because my child need to use win xp, and we only got one computer. programs that i use: KdenLive, Gimp, Amarok, Inkscape, a program to make own DVD with menu and that sort of thing...  ...openoffice, Pidgin (itś the best IM, becaus i can add Facebook buddy list in it)  :-)

...Thanks!!

Update to 2.1 or even better 2.1.1, as 2.0.2 on Ubuntu is really buggy.
And the change advice was just besause I see most problems are caused by Ubuntu here.
Especially updating from 8.x to 9.0.4 using $HOME/.kde for KDE3 and KDE4 is a mess.
Other distributions distinguish between KDE3 and KDE4 setting $KDEHOME correctly.
