Hi,
i've just compiled amarok 2.2 from git, but removed it again, because of the last.fm Problem (need to be subscriber to listen..., etc ), via "make uninstall". After that, i reinstalled amarok 2.1 (debian/sid) and if i start amarok now, i get following errormessage: . Any hints how to solve this? Greetz, Steve

I don't see how going back to a previous verison of Amarok would solve this, as it is a policy change made by last.fm
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Have you compiled 2.1 by your own or from debian repos? Check, if you have files called: libamarok_collection-daapcollection.so libamarok_collection-ipodcollection.so libamarok_collection-mtpcollection.so libamarok_collection-sqlcollection.so and post the path. Seems you've installed in wrong path. Maybe /usr/local Btw. Forget about the tip from SeaJay And last.fm subscriber policy has nothing to do with Amarok2, as Mamarok stated. m0nk |

Thanks for your replies so far.
@ SeaJay As to been seen in my profile-info on the left and stated in my posting, i'm not using *buntu. So thanks, but the hint is not helpful for me. @ Mamarok Well, you're right 'bout the policy change, that's not an amarok-issue, but it worked in 2.1 until i decided to have a look at 2.2 yesterday. So, naive as i am ( ), i thought about using 2.1 until I'm "forced" to upgrade to 2.2 as it hits Debian/sid repos. @ Dieter Schroeder I've installed 2.1 from Debain repos. The files you mentioned are existing in following paths:
I hope, these informations are useful. Greetz, Steve

I've just ran into this exact problem (remove git > install 2.1 on sid). Removing amarok with the --purge option and then installing it again did the trick for me.

How about remove --purge amarok-common? I not sure wether it's gonna change something, but that's how I exactly fixed it...

Ok, it's done!
After deleting every bit of amarok from my system, purging and reinstalling from the repo, it's working again _with_ last.fm support. Thanks to all who helped. Greetings, Steve
