Hi, I just upgraded to KDE4.3 and after that did a clean rebuild from git. Now on startup a notification pops up saying: "The device Logitech USB Speaker is not working - falling back to Pulseaudio" The KDE Sound configuration window gives me Test sounds on both of these Devices but Amaroks sound configuration (Which has exactly the same Order and look) stay quiet. What can I do? It worked until the new build/the Update. Im using Kubuntu Jaunty.
Thanks and greets Jochen |

This is a known problem with pulseaudio, which doesn't work well with phonon.
Make sure to remove pulseaudio and use the phonon-xine-backend.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I have a similar problem.
I can play streams, but not mp3 and ogg. It used to work, but after a reinstall it won't. |

1) Always make sure you're using the Phonon-xine backend, and install libxine1-ffmpeg. 2) Consider removing PulseAudio (only if everything else fails).

Also, in kubuntu karmic works fine. I had this problem because I had ubuntu installed and then installed kubuntu-desktop. Thanks again for your help
