Sorry, but your post is a bit confusing. Perhaps you can open a new topic in the german forum and describe it again.

Maybe try to shorten your sentences and make lists of what you do or mean exactly? It is really difficult to find it's way through your explanation, as you packed everything in one single paragraph.
A list like
  • item one
  • item two
etc. could make it easier.

As for the cut icons: this can very well be also distribution related, I can't reproduce this here with 2.2-git on Kubuntu 9.04 with KDE 4.3.1, and have never seen that before neither.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Same situation here and also on Reddit:

amarok_2_sucks_but_amarok_14_is_awesome_why_isnt

http://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/ ... _why_isnt/

The current Amarok2 music player is now a complex beast, a bloated wolf. The core player function is being neglected by the developers.

They are concentrating most on its eye-candy function and busy embedding other extra functions that should be treated as a plug-in in the first place.

Amarok2 users are being peppered with so many album covers. We see a BIG one on the Context Current Track, another one on the OSD and many small one on the Playlist window.

Why use Amarok2 if you could not even browse your collection?

If Amarok 1.4.x could display it properly on its playlist without any problem, logic would follow that there is something wrong with Amarok2.

JFYI, besides you behaving like an idiot, did you only try Amarok 2.2 beta 1?

If you know so much better on how development works and how fast things can be made and developed, why not give a hand? Negative bashing like you do is not going to help in any way.

So let's make it step by step.
Although the whole thing is a bit strange. Why do you have completely untagged tracks in a collection, f.e?
Tagging seems completely messed up.
Which application do you use for tagging/verifying?
On your disk is a folder containing only! the Robbie Williams' album Greatest Hits and every track is tagged with "Robbie Williams" as artist and "Greatest Hits" as album?
And the 9 album compilation:
Every album has the title "Chartboxx", different artists, who are unique within one album?

Thanks for your patience.

The one who created the tracks didn't put any tag info in it. They are in the collection to tag them with amarok. So I know everything under "Unknown" needs tagging which I do step by step.

I tag the songs with amarok. And verified with exiftool.

Yes.

It is a one album compilation with nine tracks by 9 unique artists. Amarok makes a 9 album compilation out of it.

@Mamarok: Do you use a size of 22x22 for your small icons (in systemsettings: Icons - Advanced)? Or the default 16x16? It only happens with small icons set to 22x22 or bigger.

Try a specialized tagger.
Don't use amarok for tagging.
Check the albumartist tags of your tracks.
