Hi!
I'm using Amarok 2.1.1 and it's ok except two things: 1. very often tags in mp3 files are not recognised but I found some topics about this problem so I'll read them and maybe I'll find a solution. 2. Second problem I didn't find a topic about. When I was using 2.0.1 or something version I was fascinated with the list of shoutcast. I found some shoutcasts for my kid and thanks to the search engine it was very quick and comfortable. But there was several issues in that version so I decided to install 2.1.1 when it occurred. Unfortunately, in this version search engine for shoutcasts doesn't work When I'm typing in the name of the station it starts to look for it, but never finds. To be precise - never stops finding. And it's not a problem with a station name, because I tried with several names and the problem was the same. As I'd like to play shoutcasts for my kid I decided to check newest beta version. But there is no packages for Ubuntu 9.04 yet. Then, I decided to install amarok-nightly. I tried to run it from menu, but it didn't work. So, I found it in /opt/amarok/ folder and tried to run it from the console and then I have an error:
As the nightly versions might be unstable I'd like to use some stable version. So, how can I make shoutcast search engine working? If it's impossible, how can I run nightly version? Drottnar |

"Symbol lookup error" means a library version mismatch. Nightly is build with other versions of libraries, than those found on your system.
And shoutcasting has always been buggy https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=196511. So won't give you much hope, it is solved in 2.2-beta. So best would be to compile it by yourself or wait for 9.04 packages. Sorry. Oh and the tag issues should be solved now. m0nk

I still have hope, because it was working in 2.0.1.
I don't want to play with compilation so I'll wait for a packages. Thanks for the anwser |
