Hi I'm using amarok 2.1.1 on kde 4.3.1 and mysql 5.1
a couple of issues: 1. when watch folders is selected it continually scans and rescans the collection rendering the program unuseable, my only solution so far is to disable monitoring. 2. albums are listed multiple times in album view and various artists, it appears to be once per artist. So an album with 20 tracks by different artists will appear 20 times, despite each instance having the same album name. also ... conversely, many albums that ARE compilation albums (with each track a separate artist) don't show up under various artists, instead they are broken up into their component artists and show up in the main artists list as a 1 or 2 track album. does this strike anyone else as counter-intuitive? I would *like* to see a clear distinction between single artist/group albums and compilations, as that is how I organize my collection physically. Is there anything I could be doing to address these issues, or are they teething pains? thanks S.

Hm, there still are some issues with Various Artists, a bit better in 2.2, but still, so you just need to be patient, the developers are working hard to solve that problem.
And patience in the forum is a good idea, too

FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Well, if the hard work the devs are already making is not fast enough for your taste, you might consider giving a hand?...
