First. I know further down there is a thread very similar to this one, but:
I'm not using KDE (i know, i know . . . i suck -- LOL) They were doing something different (i think) albeit with the same topic (again, I think). MY problem is this. I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 (Gnome), and I'm trying to compile 2.1.85 (although it's marked as 2.2 on the website). I'm doing CMAKE & it tells me I'm missing the "QtScriptGenerator". I follow it's instructions to find it on "code.google.com". I get the tarballs and I start to follow the README. I make the generator itself, just fine. But, STEP 2 in the readme file says to fire up the generator that we've just made. Well, it's errors out. I've pastebin'd the terminal output of both the build of the generator & the error when trying to run it. I'm hoping someone far brighter than myself (as I'm feeling quite dim) can shed some much needed light on this matter. I've resolved all other problems EXCEPT this dammed QtCore / QtBindings issue. http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/276209/ Thanks, Alex. |

Are you sure you are running the correct generator? The instructions state to run "./generator", not "generator"

Well, my programming knowledge is just about NULL (LOL), but I read the "Readme" file, is says & I quote:
Am I lead to believe, that, in the future, if it says "Without Arguments" that means putting a " ./ " infront of it? thanks, Alex. |

Okay, that was right! I did like you said and it generated like it should. Next was to compile the plugins:
http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/276447/ that seems to work fine, but on one of the lines, it ends suddenly . . . why? I'm not expirenced enough with programming to just read it & know. I did read it & still didn't know, LOL. Thanks, Alex. |
