Hello! First of all, sorry about my lack of experience, I'm not good at all with bug reports, and I just started the libre adventure this year... Plus my "report bug" button doesn't work (is this also a bug?).
The fact is, I noticed a few things on Amarok today: 1. I can't choose the moment of the song I want to play, using the "track advancement" (?) bar. When I select a moment in the song, it just stops. It happens only with my .flac music (works with mp3 for example). 2. In the Wikipedia box, the article about the artict/band never appears because it adds a "(groupe)" at the end of the name (I use Amarok in French) and the article usually doesn't have that at the end of the title (only cases of disambiguation). 3. And, another frenchy thing: in the little blue box that appears when you leave the pointer on the wolf head, a few spaces are missing: before "de" (between the artist and the album name), and also before all the colons (it's a typographic rule in French to leave a non-breaking space before and after double punctuations). I think that's it. Sorry for my English. Thanks for your help! Oh, true: - Amarok 2.1 in French - Ubuntu 9.04 - HDA Intel (Alsa mixer) (Is that the thing you asked for? Does it matter in my case anyway?) Cheers! |

Well, first of all, besides the French spacing problem, all other items are already solved in Amarok 2.2, to be released tomorrow. You should bother your distribution packagers to provide a package for Jaunty if they are not providing it within a week or so.
Then, since I can't test here, AFAIK the French translation should be up-to-date, you might want to report it against the i18n-fr package in https://bugs.kde.org, but from the experience we have had in the past with translations in Ubuntu, I guess this is something that is already solved on our side and Ubuntu specific. You could report it in https://bugs.launchpad.net to make sure it gets noticed, the French translation team is quite fast on such reports Oh, and BTW: nous avons aussi un forum francophone
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Perfect reply! Thank you for that!
And keep up the good job! Can't wait to try 2.2. Bye! |
