Hi,
I'm using KDE 4.3.1 and amarok 2.2, but I've had this problem for quite a while and some versions: when I play a song, mainly when skipping between songs but sometimes also when playing a new one, amarok skips the first 10, 20 or 30 seconds of the song. Just listening to 10min Songs where the first part isn't that interesting is no solution. What can I do? Cheers |

Make sure that you are using the xine Phonon backend. Also check if you are using the PulseAudio output, which can be buggy.

I use the xine backend (xine is above Gstreamer in the configs). I guess I'm not using PulseAudio (never set this somewhere...). I'll check with the Gentoo guys. Thanks for your work on amarok! |

I had the same (I think) problem with flac files (oggs play without problems) on KDE 3.5.10 Amarok (1.4.10)...

Yeah, only flac here, all have seek points. |

BTW: I had problem only with playback from Amarok queue, not if I play flac files in Amarok "by hand" (doubleclick)...
