Hi,
I'm using KDE 4.3.1 and amarok 2.2, but I've had this problem for quite a while and some versions: when I play a song, mainly when skipping between songs but sometimes also when playing a new one, amarok skips the first 10, 20 or 30 seconds of the song. Just listening to 10min Songs where the first part isn't that interesting is no solution. ![]() Cheers |

Make sure that you are using the xine Phonon backend. Also check if you are using the PulseAudio output, which can be buggy.

I use the xine backend (xine is above Gstreamer in the configs). I guess I'm not using PulseAudio (never set this somewhere...). I'll check with the Gentoo guys. Thanks for your work on amarok! |

I had the same (I think) problem with flac files (oggs play without problems) on KDE 3.5.10 Amarok (1.4.10)...

Yeah, only flac here, all have seek points. |

BTW: I had problem only with playback from Amarok queue, not if I play flac files in Amarok "by hand" (doubleclick)...
