All tracks length 0:00

Sun Oct 18, 2009 2:21 pm
I just updated to latest GIT version (and also added some new music to my collection), now all tracks are shown to be 0:00 long.

Re: All tracks length 0:00  Topic is solved

Rescan your collection, then restart Amarok. Please report back if this fixes the problem.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

OK, thanks. That solved the problem.

(I also updated and recompiled taglib from svn before I updated amarok)

Hi!

I have the same problem. But not all MP3 have 0:00-length. I have rescan the collection and restart amarok. The problem not end. The MP3 with 0:00 lenght have CBR and VBR. I cannot identify the cause.

@CommanderL: Have you updated to the latest Amarok ( or Neon ) before trying the solution?

Yes, I update my Amarok-Git every two days. And the problem with the length is since two weeks. But the 0:00-lenght songs plays correkt. Only Amarok shows no time...

Well, isn't that what you were asked to do anyway? Read that thread again :)

I am on git right now with mysql 5.1. Amarok says that all wave song are 0:00. On the other format amarok shows the right lenght.
I tried rescanning the collection, deleting all settings, but no result.
ANy ideas?

I can verify that my few .wav files are also all now reported as length 0.00, and I'm also on git. I haven't tried rescanning, because it's just a few files.

Try a full collection rescan, then restart Amarok

Tip: Transcode from WAV to FLAC.

Both are lossless formats, so you don't lose quality. What you win is space (FLAC compresses a bit) and metadata.
