I have three albums from one artist in my collection, plus two songs of the same artist on two compilations (listed under Various). Now i drag artist's entry (with all three albums) to playlist, and other two songs (listed under Various) appear there also.
I think this is a bug?

Well, since you filter by artist and drag the whole artist, this will of course drag all titles with that artist in the tag. I don't see what's wrong with that.

If you only want some specific albums, just drag the albums, not the artist entry, then.

It depends. If you drag the artist to the playlist, the database gets a select about the artist, like add all songs from artist XYZ to the playlist.
What you want, is to add all albums with albumartist XYZ to the playlist.
So... bug or feature?

Yes, I understand, that my collection is sorted by artist's name, but still I'm dragging only three albums to playlist, and some other songs (unwanted in this case) from other albums are added.
This should just and only happen, when I'm searching collection for artist's song (entering name in search window).

But when I filter my collection by an artist I got entries:
-Various artists with two songs, and
-Artist entry with three albums, which is correct and expected.
Yet when I drag artist to playlist now, I got just three albums, no extra songs.
Certeinly there are some sorting & filtering problems.

Just to understand:
You're dragging the artist out of the "Local Collection" without any filter applied, you get the three albums plus the two tracks from "Various Artists"?
But if you filter for this artist and drag, you only get the three albums?
