Scrobbling in 2.2 (FIXED)

Tue Oct 27, 2009 1:55 am
Hi,

I've been building Amarok using the Git repository for the past few months. One or two of the builds over the past couple of weeks seem to have problems submitting tracks to Last.fm. The Last.fm stand-alone app works fine. Sometimes, not always, Amarok will show that I'm using Amarok on the Last.fm website. However, even when it shows the track that I am listening to, it does not get submitted.

Is something broken on my end or is this an Amarok problem?

Thanks!

**edit
So rescanning my collection fixed the problem. :<

Amarok doesn't read tags when a song is played? It relies on a query?

Amarok reads the tags during a rescan. You ran into a bug that happened in git recently when we switched from internal usage of seconds to msecs---amarok thought that some of your tracks were 0:00 long (the upgrade didn't really work). tracks have to be >30sec to be scrobbled, so that's why they were being rejected.
