Hi,

How do you import files from a networked drive? I can connect to the drive and "import" the files, but they don't import properly (all I get is the file path in the title column) and when you try to play them it generates a error. Rhythmbox can connect and add the files properly so it should be a problem with Amarok.

TIA

Did you mount the drive into your file system?

It seems my system refuses to mount the drive (tried both cifs and smbfs, either should have worked though). Maybe I'll be forced to use rhythmbox (or some other program) :(

Sorry, but I don't see what that has to do with Amarok? If your system can't mount a drive you can hardly blame Amarok for that and I bet you will have the same problem with any other player, they all rely on the same system.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Other players, like rhythmbox, work just fine with how it's set up now. This is what I get when I add the media from my network share http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/6207/s ... amarok.png

TagLib currently only supports local files. No big deal - just mount the networked file system. That's faster anyway, and works better.

Are we talking about Amarok2 or Amarok 1.4? Your screenshoot is from Amarok 1.4.
Plz. write the version in the subject.

Oh sorry didn't even think about the version. The version I'm using is 1.4.10.

Going to try and mount the network share again and see if that helps.

Thanks for the help.
