Hello!
I have created a lot of m3u-playlists with amarok-1.4.10. Now I want to make the transistion to amarok-2.2.0 and need to import all those playlists. I cannot find any import-function at all. When I manually drag them from ~/.kde3.5/share/apps/amarok/playlists where they reside under 1.4.10, most of them are malfunctioning, empty or incomplete. This is a really important issue for me, as the database import doesn´t function, too. It only imports small parts of my collection with no ratings at all. So this seems to be the only way of getting my "known good" tracks back. Please help! |

Have you looked at your old playlist files in a text editor? They are just text files. You should be able to edit them, move them, etc. No need to "import."

I had the same problem.
Copied m3u files into a directory that amarok was scanning and it picked them up. The paths were all wrong, but a bit of text replace soon fixed that (using sed on Linux). Alternatively put the music in the same directory location where it was before and the m3u files as well and tell amarok to scan both locations. |
