Hi (sorry for my bad english !)
after new installation of amarok 2.2, it don't want start :
with kdesudo (for test only), it start correctly. If, I try the command of this thread, I can read that :
I verify user groupes, move config files, try to start with "--debug" or "-v" extension : same problem =>
I can find nothing in my log. I make bugreport here.

I suggest that you reinstall Amarok, then, since you probably have missing elements.
Make sure you install all of the following: amarok amarok-common amarok-utils amarok-dbg The command for a forced reinstallation would then be the following:

Sorry, there is something completely borked in your system. Try removing all amarok packages, then reinstall them again.
Also, as I can see in your signature, you seem to be using Jaunty, where there is no Amarok 2.2. available, might be related to it... are you sure you are not on Karmic?
