Equalizer, lastFM thingie, devices?

Sat Nov 14, 2009 5:41 pm
Hi guys,

I'm trying to like Amarok 2, but I'm not yet seeing how it's better. I will take convincing.

Anyway...

Equaliser is there an addon/plugin?
LastFM Scrobbler, is there one?
Where are the "Media devices" and their transfer control?
Moodbar or similar for the cue bar?

I might be able to live with it if I can find these items.

Cheers,
Paul

I try to answer a few things:

* Equalizer: this depends on Phonon only, you need the latest version from trunk. Not much we can do about, but it is implemented on our side.

* Last.fm scrobbling: Yes, of course, in the Settings -> Configure Amarok -> Internet Services. Just activate it. There is a love button next to the controls in the toolbar.

* The Media devices will just show up in the Local Music view once those are mounted. Try it.

* Moodbar: will be available in Amarok 2.2.2 or later, already in git.

So if you would just have tried that you would probably have found all those tings by yourself... and the forum has a search function you could have used to look for yourself, too :)

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

I only have: phonon-4.4_pre20090520 but I suppose I can wait until Gentoo updates.

I only have 4 things in there. Amapache etc. No Last.fm - Ah. ******* Gentoo! They keep splitting stuff out of packages and optional with use flags. FIXED (or will be)

So what about the queue when not mounted? Sorry to be a pain, but I used to love that feature where I could drag loads of music into the queue and then, when I actually had the USB key on me and not left in the car, I could transfer.

* Moodbar: will be available in Amarok 2.2.2 or later, already in git.

Thanks.
