I have just installed Amarok 2.2, and cannot make it connect to Last.fm. On startup, the message "there was a problem communicating with the last.fm services" appears, and no music can be played through the streams that I try to open. Amarok seems to be unable to connect to the internet in general, since neither the wikipedia widget nor the "get more scripts" command in the Script Manager is able to load any data.
I noticed the following lines in the console during startup: Expected node absent: neighbours Expected node absent: friends lastfm::ws::Error Expected node absent: topartists |

This might seem like a silly question, but you didn't say, so -- did you got to Settings > Configure Amarok > Internet services > Last.fm, and tell Amarok your account name and password? Those are both required, along with Internet connectivity, for Amarok and last.fm to communicate back and forth.
If you did that, do you have a firewall running? Valorie |
