I threw an album on to play, amarok played the first song, then stopped. I started the next song, it played, then after it finished- nothing. I tried adding various other songs to the playlist, but still get the same result. What's going on here?

I had this same problem in the previous version, most of the time. Oddly enough, sometimes it worked without a hitch.

Have you upgraded to 2.2.x?

This can often be a side effect of using the GStreamer Phonon backend, which is still rather buggy.

Please try the xine Phonon backend instead.
