I cehcked the log file and removed from my collection folder the las three folders in alphabetical order which included the last scanned file during the crashed scan.
However the application crashed again. After restarting the application the entire collection becomes available anyway and the files play. Before repeating the scan I removed my old database and config files inside ~/.kde4 For the moment it is OK, i will revert to the older version and tryout 2.2.3 when it will come out. Could there be any special chmod / chown operation or modification of files parameter that I could do on the folder that might make things easier for amarok? Thank you anyway. |

Not a good idea. Amarok doesn't handle downgrading gracefully (very few applications do that). If you try it, remove all of your config files and database.
