Since there is some confusion about a few basics in the Amarok 2.x series, find some more information here:
SQLite Amarok doesn't use SQLite anymore as the default database, but an embedded MySQL. This database is stored in $HOME/.kde/share/apps/amarok/mysqle/ Transition to version 2.2.1 For a smooth transition to version 2.2.1, you need to do a full rescan of the collection, then restart Amarok if this is not done automatically. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Addendum:
Amarok 2.2.2-Beta fixes this problem. We recommend checking it out, as it is relatively stable (less buggy than 2.2.1, in fact). http://amarok.kde.org/en/releases/2.2.2/beta/1 ![]()

Hello,
the link you gave above is offering downloads for linux in general , the one for opensuse is providing 2.2.1 which i'm already using : http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Download:SUSE So, is 2.2.2 beta 1 the equivalent of 2.2.2svn20091215 ? http://packages.opensuse-community.org/ ... enSUSE_112 (direct link : http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... _11.2/src/ )

Sorry, I have not a clue where OpenSuSE hides new Amarok packages, you would be better off asking them. No idea why they talk about svn20091215, since we don't use svn anymore since many months but git, but the date sounds right, it could well be that one.

These are the correct openSUSE repositories to use for Amarok ( 2.2.1 at the time of writing )
http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... SUSE_11.2/ ( KDE Trunk ) http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... SUSE_11.2/ ( Backports ) Not hidden. These packages are done by the openSUSE KDE Team I believe ( the same ones who do the official packages ) however they are unsupported. https://build.opensuse.org/project/show ... ABackports

This has nothing to do with Amarok, more with Qt 4.6.x and you using beta software...
Also, it would be nice not to hijack a thread about Amarok 2.2.1 with stuff that has not the same version. This should go to some Kopete or Qt related forum part.

That doesn't change the fact you report things here that have absolutely nothing to do with Amarok, please ask in either Kopete or Ark or Qt related subforums, it is not an Amarok problem.
Also, just adding a bold title doesn't change the fact that this topic has completely changed from the initial intention, namely to tell people upgrading from 2.2.0 to 2.2.1 that they need to do a full collection rescan. I will try moving that to more appropriate subtopics, please report the problems with Kopete and Ark where it belongs. Not here.
