Firefly and track numbers

Sun Nov 29, 2009 8:43 am
I'm running Firefly (mt-daap) on a Windows machine. On my Ubuntu machine, Amarok 2.2.1 sees it just fine. It can play tracks over the network. Only problem is, it doesn't read track numbers. It reads all the rest of the metadata, like title, artist and genre. But, it fails to read the track numbers, and so fails to sort tracks on an album in the right order.

Rhythmbox (I'm running Amarok under GNOME, BTW) on the same machine reads track numbers just fine, and sorts album tracks accordingly. This makes it look like it's an issue with Amarok itself, and not Firefly.

I'm running Ubuntu 9.10, and this was a problem both with 2.2.0 from the official repo and 2.2.1, from kubuntu-ppa.

Any help with this would be appreciated.
