Hi,

I'm new in Linux (Ubuntu 9.10) and Amarok (2.2.0). I have some problems with my Collection. The albums with songs with the same name don't appear in it. For Examle:
Artist: Anthrax
Album: I'm the man
Songs:
1. I'm the man [Uncensored]
2. I'm the man [Censored]
3. I'm the man [Live]
...
The words in [] in my ID3v2 are Comments. Then only appear one song without any number of track.
Can someone help me?
Thaks folks!!
Val.

First of all, make sure you have all tags set correctly.

Then I strongly suggest you upgrade to Amarok 2.2.1, available in the Kubuntu updates PPA. This will also drag in KDE 4.3.4, but since this is a bug-fix release, you don't risk aynthing upgrading to that.

You then need to do a full collection rescan (Settings menu -> Configure Amarok -> Collection), then restart Amarok.

You can find more information on how to get Amarok 2.2.1 here: http://kubuntu.org/news/amarok-2.2.1

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Hi Mamarok. Thank you for reply me.
I'm sure all the ID3v2 tags are ok. I've checked that the problem has not relation with the KDE and Amarok versions, because I try it in another computer with the same versions ob Ubuntu, KDE and Amarok and there wasn't any problem: I added to the collection the same files of the album with song names repeated and it was ok. Then I don't know what the problem is. Anybody has any idea about it?

If it only happens on one computer or for one user, then the most likely problem is a configuration file. Try removing all files called amarok* from $HOME/.kde/share/config/, then do a full collection rescan and restart Amarok.
